Peace and blessings to each of you. As we continue to walk together in faith, I want to take a moment to share an update on the financial health of our parish. Transparency and good stewardship are essential to building a strong and trusting community, and with the guidance of our Parish Finance Committee, I would like to provide you with a clear picture of where we currently stand. Your continued generosity, presence, and prayers are the foundation of all we are able to do together in Christ's name. Our Current Financial Situation
Total Parish Cash Remaining: $125,000
Total Annual Budget for Operating Expenses: $291,000
Plate collections, our largest source of income, have continued to decline. This fiscal year marks the seventh consecutive year of decreased giving in this area, which significantly contributes to our projected annual deficit.
Projected Deficit for Fiscal Year 2024-2025: -$30,000
(Note: The Diocesan fiscal year runs from July I to June 30.)
In addition to our current shortfall, we remain concemed about:
Potential costly repairs due to our aging facilities
A possible tax liability related to the grape harvest with Sonoma County
Our parish has always been more than a building, it is a sacred home where faith is nurtured, sacraments are celebrated, and lives are transformed. Many ofyou have received sacraments here, shared joyful moments, and found comfort in times of sorow. Your support has helped sustain that sacred mission through the years. In closing, I wish to express my deepest gratitude for your ongoing support and love for our parish.
Whether through your time, your talents, or your treasure, your faithfulness sustains the life and mission of our Church. Please know of my prayers for you and your families. Ifyou have any questions or would like more information, please feel free to reach out to me or to our Parish Finance Chair, Randy DeCaminada. May God continue to bless you and our parish community abundantly.
With every blessing in Christ, Fr. David Galeana Parish Finance Committee Members: Bonnie Wlodarczy, Guadalupe Guerrero, Michael Fennelle, Fernando Gonzalez, Jesus Sanchez.
